Peter Griffin, the former owner of Peter’s Pet Shop in Dublin, has been selling his stores to his family for almost 20 years.
The stores, which are located in the centre of the city, are owned by his father Peter Griffin.
Mr Griffin is a father of four, and said he was delighted to see the store being taken over by his family.
People came from all over the world for their pets. “
Peter’s Pet was the most popular pet store in Ireland.
The family moved into Peter Griffin and Peter’s first store opened in 2007. “

“We didn’t have a lot of staff, and they were all young,” Mr Griffin said.
“It was the perfect mix, so we had a lot going on.”
Mr Griffin also said he would have loved to have owned a bigger business.
“But I’ve had it my whole life, so it’s a great feeling,” he said.
Mr and Mrs Griffin’s business is owned by their children.
“Our business has been successful for so long that we feel we’ve had a long time to think about it and have some time to plan for the future,” he added.
Mr Griffith said the sale of the business to his children was “very exciting”.
“It’s going to be fantastic for them to be able to go to the family business, and to grow with the kids,” he told The Irish Examiner.
The family have not yet decided whether they will continue to operate the stores.
